A group of community leaders and public agency representatives from eight organizations have come together to create the CDA COVID-19 Relief Fund in response to the anticipated needs of our most vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The partners include: United Way of North Idaho (UWNI); Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce; St. Vincent de Paul; Panhandle Health District; Coeur d’Alene School District 271; CDAIDE; Orchard Ridge Senior Living; and the City of Coeur d’Alene. One of the driving principles of the CDA COVID-19 Relief Fund is to leverage the existing network of organizations and agencies with proven track records in leadership and serving the following specific vulnerable groups: Children: Pre-K; Children: K-12; Hospitality Workers; Service Workers; and Vulnerable Seniors. Even as we confront uncertainty and a sense of loss, together we will work to support our community.
Contributions to the CDA COVID-19 Relief Fund will address immediate and urgent needs of our most vulnerable neighbors, as well as longer-term challenges that will affect Children (Pre-K & K-12), Hospitality Workers, Service Workers, and Vulnerable Seniors by funding organizations across our region. The funds will be available to organizations (not individuals) in the greater Coeur d’Alene area. UWNI is collecting the funds and helping oversee the program with assistance from the other partner organizations. A huge thank you to UWNI for stepping up and waiving their administrative fees and overhead for this fund.
